Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the Holy, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
-
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His life, in His miracles, in His vicarious atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
-
We believe that for the salvation of lost people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
-
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
-
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of judgment.
-
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our
Story
Ladies In Waiting Ministries International Inc. (LIWMI)
Founded by Madelyn Battle, has been serving the community for the past 39 years, providing various services, including, but not limited to, opportunities for women and girls to attend motivational and educational conferences, social events and retreats they would not normally be able to afford; additionally, we assist with job preparation and job placement.
Thirty-nine years ago, Minister Battle had a spiritual encounter in which she saw a vision of a bride and handmaidens waiting upon the Lord, with an open red rose sending a sweet fragrance to Him. In the vision, she saw vivid colors of gold and purple. The rose symbolizes the gentleness and beauty of women; the color gold represents refining fire and the color purple represents royalty and the inheritance of His riches. The open red rose and the colors gold and purple are hallmarks of the now 39 year-old Ladies In Waiting Ministries International.

Culinary classes, home economics, and arts and crafts are some of the other services made available by this ministry. LIWMI also helps displaced women locate housing and teach new skills to help make the participants employable or start their own businesses. Another aspect of this ministry is to provide encouragement and support to pastors’ wives and other women in ministry.
We also partner with several other organizations and businesses such as United Way (211), Marines’ Toys for Tots to bring Christmas presents to children in need in addition to other outreach ministry events. LIWMI serves primarily women and children, women in ministry, military families, and those that are abused and handicapped, from all ethnic groups, fostering family values and empowerment.
