ELECT WOMEN OF GOD

An Elect Woman of God is selected by God; she aids her husband in the ministry, working alongside him to fulfill the vision for the church. In her role as elect woman, she nurtures and is gifted in providing service to the church and its members.

She is hospitable, compassionate and has a spirit of excellence in all that she does.She has faith and fears the Lord. She respects the calling of the office of her husband and her marriage vows (Titus 2:3).

How this ministry came about

Early on the morning of January 4th, 2004, the Lord spoke to my spirit to start gathering pastors'/ministers' wives to meet in support of one another. The opportunity to fellowhip with each other, whether it's a lunch, dinner or special event, is important in providing a safe place for us to share the challenges of ministry and to encourage each other as women, who are many times exhausted and even discouraged Being a pastor's wife or minister's wife can be very challenging. First of all, we are all women with responsiblities outside of the church; most of the times we are multi-tasking, being there for everyone who needs us. Yet ironically, very seldom is there someone to be present for the pastors' or ministers' wives when they need support. Our prayers, our tears, and our joys concern the Lord. The Lord let me know that as we support each other in every way we can, we can grow, be strengthened and be encouraged. We can then be the beacons of light and pillars of strength that we are called to be.

Elect Women of God's symbol

The Monarch Butterfly - This beautiful, graceful creature is able to travel long distances, sometimes up to 2000 miles! She has an internal clock that allows her to follow the sun and make these "mission trips" to warmer temperatures. She passes this gift on to subsequent generations, so they can find their way. She is unstoppable.
